Thin slate is produced from the natural material of slate. Natural stone is one of the softest rock on earth. This sort of rock can even be found in Germany. Slate is a quite soft sort of stone. That´s why wafer-thin boards can be separated from it. These boards can be used as a decoration as well as a panel for indoor- as well as for outdoor-use. With the invention of LED-illumination there are a lot of design forms. Boards of translucent slate get even flexible, because of their small diameter. That means, that translucent slate isn´t just able for cladding flat surfaces. Even counters or columns paneled with translucent slate are possible. The indirect lightning in connection with the natural material slate creates an innovative but eco-friendly look in lobbies, business premises and surgeries. Installing translucent slate is as easy as installing traditional thin slate. These illuminated boards can be glued together quite simple and seamless. As a pre-treatment for a easier installation every single board should be sharpened with sandpaper with a 600 grain.

With a professional impregnation veneers out of translucent slate keep their natural look and freshness it had at the day of installation.
